Here you can find all the information about Single Porting
Porting is another way to add a number to a person. Like creating a new number, porting is available from two places
From the card of a person who does not yet have a number
From the new items creation popup
Porting can be single or multipl.
Single porting can be applied to both personal and business numbers. The first step of single porting is to select a country: USA, UK, Denmark, France, Germany and Sweden. Each country has its own monthly plan price.Porting for all countries except Germany is almost the same. First, you need to fill in the information about your current operator, enter the number and the date of the transfer.
The user must enter a valid number for porting. If the number is not valid, error messages will appear. After passing the first step, the user goes to the next step where he needs to enter the Porting Code - a unique code that the current operator gives to the subscriber when he wants to transfer his number to another operator. The page shows information about the Porting Code for a particular country. After that, the user goes to the page of selecting the person to whom this number will be assigned (This step is skipped if the number porting flow was opened from the card of a person who does not have the number ). Here, as when creating a number, the user can select a person from the list or create a new one. After that, the user proceeds to the last step - the verification of the entered data. Here, the user can edit the details of the porting or start it completely over. It is at this step that the rest of the error messages are displayed, for example, if the user already has a number, or if the user is already registered, or errors that occur in the porting process in general. After the porting is completed, the user sees on the Overview page that the selected person has a number with the Transferring status. The Transfer status tab appears in the user’s card, which contains information about the status of the transferee.
Porting for Germany is a bit different from other countries. At the first step, users can choose an operator from the list of available ones or add their own. After that, the user is redirected to the Contact Existing Provider page. Here, the user is provided with information on how to contact the current provider to inform them that they want to switch to another provider. In the next step, in addition to the porting code, the user also needs to enter the Company name. After that, all the following steps correspond to those for other countries.
